| • | Preheat oven to 350 degree F.

| • | Grease an 8x8 inch-baking pan.

| • | In a normal bowl, cream brownish sugar and butter together until smooth.

| • | Beat in the vanilla and egg.

| • | Mix the baking powder, flour, walnuts and salt; stir into the sugar mixture.

| • | Smear onto the pan.
|
| • | Now, bake it for one-half an 60 minutes in the preheated oven.

| • | Chill it completely before frosting.

| • | Now mix all the ingredients of icing except confectioner’s sugar in a little saucepan all over low heat.

| • | Now, boil and simmer it for 2 minutes.
|
| • | After 2 minutes, cool and beat in the confectioners' sugar.

| • | Smear all over cooled bars and cut down it into squares.
