• 2 cup Long Grain Rice (presoaked)
• 1 cup Black Dal (presoaked)
• 1 tbsp Roasted Cumin Seed
• Salt to taste
• 1 cup Water
• Butter
Rinse the soaked rice and lentils mixture thoroughly.
Combine the above mixture with water in a blender to form a smooth batter-like paste.
Pour this into a large mixing bowl; add toasted cumin seed and table salt to taste; mix thoroughly.
Allow the batter to remain for at minimum 6 hours.
Now heat up oil in a cooking pan all over medium-low heat up and pour in few batter into it such as that it spread aside out into a paper-thin pancake.
Cook until the bottom acquires crisp; turn all over and cook the other side.
Remove the cooked pancake.
Chatamari is ready to set. Serve with or without any toppings.
