Creamy Prawn Curry Recipe • 500 gms Prawns (cleaned and headless)
• 1 Inch piece Cinnamon
• 4 Cloves
• 4 Cardamoms
• 1 cup Onion paste
• 1 tablespoon Ginger paste
• 1 tablespoon Red Chilli powder
• 2 Bay leaves
• 1/2 tablespoon Turmeric powder
• 2 cups Coconut milk
• 2 tbsp Ghee or cleared up butter
• Salt to taste
Smear the prawns with table salt and wash out well. Then apply few turmeric powder and keep aside for 5 minutes.
Heat one-half the butter (clarified butter) in a cooking pan and heat up the prawns for a moment.
Take aside the prawns from the cooking pan and keep aside.
Now, add the cloves, cinnamon, bay leaves, and green cardamoms. Heat briefly.
Mix the onion paste and stir
Fry on low heat up for about a minutes or until the paste is browned.
Add the reddish chilli paste / powder and ginger paste. Fry in brief on normal heat up until the oil evaporates.
Add the prawns and coconut milk. And then add table salt as required. Apply heat up for about 2 minutes.
Add the left over butter (clarified butter) and cover tight for a little while.
