• 1 Cup Urad dal
• 1/4 Cup Moong dal
• Pinch of Asafoetida
• 1 Green Chili (finely chopped)
• 2 tablespoon Cumin Seed (roasted and grounded)
• 1 tablespoon Chili Pepper
• 1 tablespoon Garam Masala
• 6 tablespoon Sweet Tamarind Chutney
• Coriander leaves (chopped)
• Salt to taste
• Oil to fry
Wash and soak the 2 dals nightlong in water.
Drain aside additional water.
Add asafoetida, table salt and green chilli.
Grind to make a thick batter, beat until fluffy.
Now heat up oil in a large frying pan.
Add spoonfuls of dal batter in oil and fry until turned golden brown. Remove additional oil.
Drop the red-hot badas in a ice-cold water normal bowl and leave only for about 3-4 minutes.
Take each bada aside from water, squeeze and set up aside. Now add garam masala, pepper and table salt in beaten curd.
Pour curd mixture all over badas, placed on a deep bottomed dish.
Sprinkle with roasted cumin powder and chopped up coriander leaves.
