• 1 cup Assorted Shellfish
• 1 tbsp Coriander Seeds
• 1 tablespoon Cumin Seeds
• 1 cup Grated Coconut
• 2 Large Onions
• 3 Dried Red Chillies
• 3 tbsp Tamarind pulp
• 1 tablespoon Sugar
• 1/2 tablespoon Turmeric powder
• 6 Flakes Garlic
• Small piece of Ginger
• 1 tbsp Oil
• Salt to taste
• A little amount of water
Heat oil in a cooking pan and seethe the cumin seeds, chillis and coriander until they splutter.
Grind coconut, garlic, onion and ginger to make fine paste.
Seethe this paste in oil.
Add little water and fry for a minute.
Add turmeric powder, tamarind pulp, sugar and salt.
Now add the fish and cook it until sauce acquires thickened.
Fish Temperade is ready.
