| • | Slice grapes, cherries, dates into little pieces.

| • | Soak and keep the pieces in brandy one week before preparing the cake.

| • | Heat a cooking pan and pour 1/2 kg sugar in it. Now, add a little water and keep stirring on a low burn to avoid burning.

| • | Put off the burn when the sugar changes golden brown. Mix butter with the remain of the powdered sugar. Keep it aside.

| • | Now, sieve the flour and baking powder together. Add the fruits soaked in brandy and the chopped up cashew nuts in it. Mix well.

| • | Now beat the egg yolk and egg white together. Add it gradually to the sugar-butter mixture and mix it well.

| • | Now, add vanilla essence to the above-made mixture.

| • | In a lubricated and floured vessel, pour the above-made mixture 1st and then the fruit mixture evenly. Repeat alternately.

| • | Bake it in a preheated oven at 3500C for 40 minute and then take it out.

| • | Allow it to cool and take aside the cake on a plate.
|
| • | Fruit Cake is ready to serve.
