• 1 cup Masoor Dal
• 1 little Onion (sliced)
• 1 Inch piece of Ginger
• 1/4 tablespoon Turmeric Powder
• 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
• 2 Garlic Cloves
• 1 tablespoon Cumin Seed
• 1/2 tablespoon Salt
• 3-1/2 cups Water
Wash the dal the right way and shift it into a force cooker.
Add water, salt, turmeric, ginger and garlic and cook until the second whistle.
Release the force of cooker.
Take oil in a frying cooking pan and heat up it. Add cumin and fry until it changes light brown.
Now add onions and keep on stirring until onions turn golden brown.
Pour the deep-fried spices into the cooked dal and heat up on a low flame. Heat until the dal thickens slightly.
Masoor Dal is ready.
