• 4 Cups cabbage (shredded)
• 1 Cup toor dal (soaked)
• 1 Cup chick peas (soaked)
• 8 Red chillies
• 1 Onion
• 1 tablespoon Chilli powder
• 1/2 tablespoon Turmeric powder
• 2 tablespoon Fennel seeds
• Salt to taste
• Oil for frying
Chop the onions
Drain all the water and grind the dal properly.
Grind fennel seed and chillis in a blender.
Heat the oil.
Put grinded fennel seeds.
Now add chopped up onions and chopped cabbage.
Saute them well.
Mix turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt.
Add the grinded dal.
Now fry it all over normal flame.
Fry until the mixture changes reddish brown.
Serve it with sambhar rice.
