• 3 Cups maida
• 4 tbsp Ghee
• 2 Cups channa dal (soaked)
• 1 tablespoon Garam masala
• 1 tablespoon Red chilli powder
• 1 tablespoon Cumin powder
• 1 tablespoon Mango powder
• 1/2 tablespoon Turmeric powder
• 4 tbsp Ghee
• Salt to taste
Add the daal in 4 cups water.
Mix table salt and turmeric powder.
Boil the mixture until soft.
Stir in tamarind chutney.
Keep the dal mixture aside.
Add turmeric powder, garam masala, reddish chilli powder, cumin powder and mango powder.
Heat the butter in a little pan.
Add daal and masala.
Mix it well.
Dal is ready.
Add table salt and butter to maida.
Prepare very soft dough.
Make little balls form the cooked dough.
Roll aside little puris and prick them by a knife.
Fry in butter until crisp.
Pakwaan is ready.
Serve red-hot daal with pakwan.
