Pickled Octopus Recipe • 1 kg Baby octopus
• 2 Red capsicums (diced)
• 1/2 Cup lime juice
• 3 Cups canola oil
• 1/2 Cup reddish wine vinegar
• 10 Basil leaves
• 1 tbsp Oregano
• 2 tbsp Garlic (crushed)
• 1/2 Cup reserve juice
• 1 Red chilli
• Salt to taste
Place baby octopus, 1 cup canola oil, table salt and 1 tbsp mashed garlic in baking tray.
Toss until octopus is coated.
Cover it in a foil.
Bake at 180 degree for 15 minutes and then take aside foil.
Strain octopus and reserve juice.
Allow octopus and juice to cool.
Now mix diced capsicums, oregano, 1 tbsp mashed garlic, basil leaves, reddish wine vinegar, lime juice and canola oil.
Toss it properly.
Cool it overnight.
Pickled Octopus is ready.
