• 4 Cups all-purpose flour
• 4 tbsp Shortening
• 2 tablespoon Baking powder
• 1-1/2 Cups hot water
• Oil for frying
• 1 tablespoon Salt
Take a large normal bowl and mix flour, baking powder, table salt and cutting down in it, mix well.
Stir in water and mix until dough is soft.
Cover it and allow stand for about 20 minutes.
Roll aside on floured board until 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick and cut down them into 3 inch squares.
Heat oil in a deep-fryer to 375 degree F and fry until golden brownish on both sides.
Drain Sopapilla on paper towels and serve.
