| • | Cream the butter and sugar together in a normal bowl. Stir in the egg and vanilla.

| • | Sift together the flour and baking powder, stir into the skimmed mixture alternately with the heavy cream. Cover dough and cool for 2 to 3 hours, until it changes firm.

| • | Preheat oven to 350 degree F (175 degree C) and lubricate the cookie sheets.

| • | On a lightly floured surface, roll aside the dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into desirable shapes with cookie cutters.

| • | Now place the cookies 1 inch aside on the cooked cookie sheets. Sprinkle with coloured sugar if desired.

| • | Bake the cookies for 12-14 minutes in the preheated oven, until bottoms and edges of cookies turn light brown.

| • | Then take aside the cookies from baking sheet and allow then cool on wire racks.

| • | Store the cookies in an airtight container.
