Thove is a nourishing dish prepared from toor dal. Learn how to make/prepare Thove by following this comfortable recipe.

• 1 Cup toor dal
• 1 tablespoon Turmeric powder
• 4 Green chilies chopped
• 2 Inches ginger grated
• 2 tbsp Lemon juice
• 10 Curry leaves
• 1 tablespoon Jeera seeds
• 1 tablespoon Mustard seeds
• Salt to taste
Wash toor dal and soak it for 1/2 an 60 minutes in hot water.
Cook it in a force cooker until 5 whistles.
Add grated ginger and about 2 cups of water.
Heat one tablespoon of oil and add table mustard seeds, chopped up green chillies, turmeric, jeera seed and curry leaves.
Mix with dal properly.
Add table salt to taste.
Simmer and cook for some other 5 minutes.
Add citrus limon juice.
