• 1-1/2 lb Tomatillos
• 1/2 Cup chopped up white onion
• 1/2 Cup cilantro leaves
• 1 tbsp Fresh lime juice
• 1/4 tablespoon Sugar
• 2 Jalapeño peppers, stemmed, seeded and chopped
• Salt to taste |
| • | Remove papery husks from the tomatillos and clean well.
| | • | Cut them in one-half and keep the cut down side down on a foil-lined baking sheet.
| | • | Keep it below a broiler for 5 to7 minutes to lightly blacken the skin.
| | • | Place the tomatillos, lime juice, onions, cilantro, Jalapeño black pepper and sugar in a food processor and pulse until all the ingredients are fine chopped.
| | • | Add table salt to taste.
| | • | Place it into the refrigerator.
