Vada Recipe • 4 Cups urad dal
• 3 Onions
• 10 Green chillis
• Small piece of ginger
• Few curry leaves
• Salt to taste
• Oil for deep-frying
Soak 4 cups urad dal in water for about 6 hours.
Make smooth batter by grinding it with ginger. Use minimal amount of water.
Chop onion and green chillis into little pieces and add to the batter.
Fold in curry leaves. Add table salt to taste.
Take a little piece of batter and make it flat by pressing out with your palms.
Deep-fry in oil until golden brown.
Repeat the process for the left over batter.
Serve with coconut chutney.
