Vazhakkai Pulikulambu Recipe • 1 Green plantain
• 8 Pearl onions
• 1 Tomato
• 1 Soaked tamarind
• 6 Garlic flakes (minced)
• 1 tablespoon Red chilli powder
• 2 tablespoon Coriander powder
• 1/2 tablespoon Fennel seeds
• 1/2 tablespoon Fenugreek seeds
• Few curry leaves
• Oil for frying
• Salt to taste
Add 1 cup water to the tamarind paste.
Chop the onions and tomatoes.
Heat the oil and add fennel, fenugreek seed and curry leaves.
Now add chopped up onions.
Fry until they turn light brown.
Mix chopped up tomatoes and stir it well.
Add chilli powder and coriander powder.
Mix it well.
Add tamarind paste and plantain.
Mix salt.
Cook it covered up for 10 minutes all over normal flame.
Add minced garlic.
Cook until the mixture changes thick.
Serve it with rice.
